The Valley of the Shadow of Death
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil. -Psalm 23:4
(Obscura, Vol. 3, pp 45)
I chose Ashley Maria Lorenzo’s The Valley of the Shadow of Death because I love the ominous, mysterious feeling it evokes. The repetition and the uniformity portrayed in the image makes the tunnel seem endless, yet unpredictable, much like life itself. The caption she inserts fits very well with the image. It reminds us to be brave in the face of death; to not fear what is to come, but accept and embrace it as a part of our journey through life.
